You can have a New Shape
Do you have Stubborn Fat?
People come in all different shapes and sizes. Every body type has areas that are predisposed to fat storage
and, even with rigorous diet and exercise, those unwanted bulges often persist.
Do you want a New Shape?
Vaser and Smart Liposuction and Liposculpture offers safe alternatives for
ridding yourself of those stubborn fat deposits. Smart Lipo and Vaser Liposuction - Liposculpture are
both in-office procedures performed using local anesthesia.
The pictures below are of a patient who accumulated unwanted fat on her stomach. She wanted it gone. One lipo
treatment removed the fat and gave her a flat tummy again.

"A Flat Stomach Again!"
"I used to be so seff-conscious about the fat roll around my
abdomen. I had to spend lots of time finding the "right" outfit to hide my stomach. No matter how
much weight I lost the fat around my waist remained or got bigger!
After my Vaser Liposuction procedure I am thrilled to say that I
now have a flat stomach for the first time since having three children 15 years ago. The recovery
time and discomfort was minimal and I am more likely to diet and eat healthier to maintain my "new"
lean abdomen."

Liposculpture - Body Contouring

Liposculpture - Body Contouring can have a real effect on the way you look. The patient above regained her
youthful waist and butt with just one treatment.
Liposuction - Liposculpture Cost
The cost of Liposuction varies from person to person. The price is determined by several factors, including, the
areas treated, the amount of fat removed and the type of Liposuction procedure performed.
The primary factors determining the price of your Liposuction procedure are:
-
The number of body areas treated
-
The most common body areas treated are the upper tummy, lower tummy, love handles, lower back, hips,
bra fat, shoulders, upper arms, underarms, inner thighs, outer thighs, knees and double chins.
-
The total amount of fat removed from the body area(s)
-
Removing more fat takes more time and is more difficult.
-
The type or combination of types of Liposuction procedures performed
-
Ultrasonic (like Vaser Lipo), Laser (like SmartLipo), tumescent, SAL and PAL (like Vaser Power X
assisted), etc.
Usually, the Liposuction cost per body area decreases if more than one body area is treated during a single
Liposuction session. It is more efficient and costs less to treat two or more areas in a single session than it is
to treat single areas spread out over multiple sessions. However, the total amount of fat to be removed during one
session must be considered.
We perform Liposuction in our office, using local anesthesia, so there are no additional hospital, operating
room or other doctor fees, except for the cost of a recent physical exam report from your Family Doctor.
We provide a free initial Liposuction consultation so we can see the body areas you want treated, determine if
you are a good candidate for Liposuction, answer your questions and discuss treatment options and treatment
price.
If you are interested in Liposuction please call our office and schedule a free Liposuction consultation. We
look forward to meeting you.

"Feeling 20 again after Vaser
Liposuction"
"I am so happy that I had the Vaser Liposuction procedure. After having 6
kids, no matter how much I worked-out I could not lose the fat around my middle.
It was so amazing! Within 3 days of my procedure I lost lost 3
inches at my waist. At age 45, it was so great to hear my husband tell me that my body looks better
now than when he met me at age 20!
Plus, the procedure was so surprisingly comfortable that early the next
morning I watched my daughter compete in gymnastics. Results this good with no downtime is truly
amazing! Thanks to Dr. Marie I am proud to show off my new figure."

Vaser Lipo
FAQ
What is Vaser Lipo? Is it different than traditional
liposuction?
Vaser Liposuction is a minimally invasive procedure that precisely and efficiently removes unwanted body fat. An
alternative to the harsh techniques of traditional liposuction, Vaser Liposuction uses state-of-the-art ultrasound
technology designed to gently reshape your body. What distinguishes the Vaser Liposuction procedure is its ability
to differentiate targeted fat from other important tissues – such as nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue.
Innovative Vaser technology breaks up fat while conserving these other important tissues. Only the Vaser Lipo
procedure uses the proprietary Vaser System to first liquefy fat and then remove it from the body to promote smooth
results and rapid healing with only low to minimal pain.

What happens during Vaser
Liposuction?
First, the area to be reshaped is filled with a special saline solution that helps numb the site and shrink the
blood vessels (to minimize blood loss and reduce bruising). This solution wets and fills the area to be treated,
making it easier to break up fatty tissue with the Vaser Liposuction System’s ultrasound energy. Then a small probe
transmits sound energy (similar to that used for cataract removal from the eye) to fragment fatty tissue on contact
while leaving other important tissues largely intact. Finally, the liquefied fat is removed through a gentle
suction process designed to minimize damage to surrounding tissues.
Is Vaser Liposuction right for me?
If you are frustrated by the resistance of certain body areas to diet and exercise, Vaser Lipo can provide a
solution. If you are healthy and seeking a fast, low-pain solution for losing stubborn fat deposits, the
Liposuction procedure could be your answer. Patients who say they would have never considered liposuction are now
finding the Vaser Liposuction procedure is a minimally invasive option for the achievement of their body reshaping
goals. Although there are limits to the amount of fat that can be removed, Dr. DiLauro can assist you with your
decision about potential areas for contouring, anticipated results, and the recovery process.

"I Love my Waist After Vaser
Liposuction!"
"Having a fat stomach really bothered me, but I could not get it to
go away no matter how much diet and exercise I did. Dresses would hide it some, but I hated how I
looked in slacks and jeans, not to mention a bikini. And I didn't feel sexy anymore.
I had my Vaser Lipo procedure performed by Dr. Marie in her office.
She gave me some pain medication before we started. I was awake and remember feeling very
comfortable while my stomach and hip rolls were treated. When I got off the table immediately after
the treatment I looked 20 pounds lighter!
That night I ate a big dinner, watched TV, and took 2 pain pills
before I went to bed. After that I never needed pain medication again. The next day I got up and
went shopping. Now I can't wait to get my legs done."

Surprising drop in triglycerides seen even in normal weight patients
Liposuction patients are usually after one thing: a better-looking body. But a new study
suggests the cosmetic procedure that removes fat from well-padded areas of the body may also reduce
harmful fat circulating in the blood.
Research to be presented Sunday at the annual meeting of the American Society of Plastic
Surgeons in Denver was aimed at measuring triglyceride levels in 229 people having liposuction. In
people with normal triglyceride levels, cosmetic surgery made no difference. But among people who
started out with high triglycerides, blood tests taken three months after surgery showed a 43%
reduction in triglycerides.
That's about twice the reduction people usually get by taking cholesterol-lowering medications.
There was no change in other cholesterol or glucose levels.
The study, led by Dr. Eric Swanson, a plastic surgeon in Leawood, Kan., also found that white
blood cell counts fell 11% after liposuction. White blood cells are linked to inflammation in the
body and are associated with a higher risk of cardiovascular disease.
It's not known how long the reduction in triglycerides lasts, however, and whether the surgery
can actually lower the risk of heart disease. Moreover, the study raises questions about which
types of fat in the body are really harmful.
"For years, it has been assumed that visceral fat surrounding the internal organs has greater
metabolic importance and is more directly linked to cardiovascular disease and diabetes risk than
'subcutaneous fat' that lies under the skin," Swanson said in a news release. "These new findings
support recent studies suggesting subcutaneous fat, which can be reduced by liposuction, is just as
metabolically important."
