Smart Lipo FAQ
For Stubborn Fat Deposits
You’ve tried dieting. You’ve tried exercise. But parts of your body have simply refused to tone up. With Smartlipo Laser Body Sculpting, you can change all that. This revolutionary treatment literally melts away fat in trouble spots like your abdomen, thighs, arms and neck. The results last longer than dieting or exercise and since the treatment is minimally invasive, you’ll be in the doctor’s office one day and out turning heads the next.
Does Smart Lipo Treat Cellulite?
The Smart Lipo procedure will improve the body’s shape and may reduce cellulite to a certain degree.
How long does the Smart Lipo procedure take?
The Smart Lipo procedure takes an average of 2–3 hours per session.
How many Smart Lipo treatments are required?
Most patients typically require only one treatment. SmartLipo can also be used for “touch-ups” and revisions to previously treated areas.
What is the long-term outcome for most people?
Most patients can see results immediately following the Smart Lipo procedure, and they can expect their skin to return to normal within three months. However, as with traditional liposuction, you will need to practice patience since the full Smart Lipo results may not be visible for up to a year. The more fat that was removed, the longer it will take to achieve maximum results, as your body needs to adapt to a more significant shape change.
What if I’ve already had regular liposuction?
Smart Lipo may be extremely effective for improving upon body areas that have been previously treated with traditional liposuction. With the SmartLipo procedure Dr. DiLauro can further sculpt or contour those areas on the body that have “droopy” skin, especially if you are a relatively thin, healthy person who wants additional toning and tightening.
Does the Smart Lipo procedure hurt?
Since the Smart Lipo procedure is performed under local anesthesia, there is very little pain or discomfort involved. You may feel a minor stinging sensation and an impression of tugging at your skin during the Smart Lipo treatment, but these discomforts are minimal.
Smart Lipo – Liposuction Cost
The cost of Liposuction varies from person to person. The price is determined by several factors, including, the areas treated, the amount of fat removed and the type of Liposuction procedure performed.
The primary factors determining the price of your Liposuction procedure are:
The number of body areas treated
The most common body areas treated are the upper tummy, lower tummy, love handles, lower back, hips, bra fat, shoulders, upper arms, underarms, inner thighs, outer thighs, knees and double chins.
The total amount of fat removed from the body area(s)
Removing more fat takes more time and is more difficult.
The type or combination of types of Liposuction procedures performed
Ultrasonic (like Vaser Liposuction), Laser (like Smart Lipo), tumescent, SAL and PAL (like Vaser Power X assisted), etc.
Usually, the Liposuction cost per body area decreases if more than one body area is treated during a single Liposuction session. It is more efficient and costs less to treat two or more areas in a single session than it is to treat single areas spread out over multiple sessions. However, the total amount of fat to be removed during one session must be considered.
We perform Liposuction in our office, using local anesthesia, so there are no additional hospital, operating room or other doctor fees, except for the cost of a recent physical exam report from your Family Doctor.
We provide a free initial Liposuction consultation so we can see the body areas you want treated, determine if you are a good candidate for Liposuction, answer your questions and discuss treatment options and treatment price.
